Emil Guillermo: U.S. disputes Kim Jong Un’s bomb size. Yes, it’s come to that. When is an H-bomb a Hoax bomb? When it lacks the visual punch of a hydrogen fusion explosive and more of the smaller footprint of an atomic fission bomb. But either is a big birthday candle for Kim who turns 33 on Jan. 8.

When is an H-bomb a Hoax bomb?  The U.S. says the size is inconsistent with hydrogen bombs, and more like fission type atomic bombs.  So a bomb isn’t always a BOMB.

And this may be Kim’s way to have one foot in the news cycle, a step ahead of Donald Trump.

Emil Guillermo: That “militia” of outsiders from Arizona and Nevada occupying a federal wildlife reserve in Oregon are armed trespassers and not patriots. If people of color took over a federal housing project the National Guard would have been brought in post-haste. The Bundy gang is like a gun-fueled “White Lives Matter” movement. They are anti-government thugs looking for the spotlight.

If they vote, they’re likely Trump or Cruz guys. But you don’t hear much from either of them about these yahoos fueled by the Second Amendment up in Oregon.
They are giving camo a bad name.

Emil Guilllermo: Miss Philippines says she’s not sharing Miss Universe crown with Miss Colombia. Says the new Miss U.: “I think it would be fairly difficult for two girls to share a crown.”

In New York  being your normal workaday Miss U., Piz Alonzo Wurtzbach  stands her ground. On national TV,  let’s people know, Miss Universe is big in the Filipinos.  Just like a Manny Pacquiao fight.  For my  my recap of the boo-boo heard ’round the world, click here.

Emil Guillermo: Bill Cosby shows that some black lives do matter…too much. Cosby used his fame, wealth, good deeds, and for good measure “Heathcliff Huxtable” as his “sitcom shield” to make sure he got favored treatment from the law in the past. No more. Last year’s unsealing of his deposition in his 2006 case is the “new evidence” for Pennsylvania prosecutors to finally act last week.

A pre-trial hearing is set for Jan.14.  Cosby’s  lawyers, reports say, declare the comedian’s  innocence and say there will be no plea bargain.
But Cosby’s  de facto “trial” by  media for  the  betrayal of trust with his audience, his community, his beneficiaries, and  the public at large, has already begun.
He doesn’t seem to have much of a leg to stand on without the advantage of his “Huxtable” shield.  Or without the aid of those in law enforcement who seemed to have been  very willing to give him a pass.
