Hey, it’s virtual FANHS museum popup!
I talk about Watsonville’s recent apology for the 1930 riots that ended with the murder of a Filipino worker in 1930. Better late than never?
What exactly is the city apologizing for–the failure to act and protect Filipino Americans and the public in general? Seems like a safe apology after 90 years.
City must do more to rectify the historical racism Filipino Americans face.
And I talk about the razing of an historical building in Stockton, where the city seemed to fail to give the community a chance to save the Rizal Social Club.
This year, ninety years ago, some things never change.
